Orcaflex10/31/2023 QTFs are a method of accounting for the nonlinear effects of waves on the motions of floating bodies. The new model also allows users to specify friction coefficients for different contact types.įull QTFs for wave drift: OrcaFlex 9.6 supports full quadratic transfer functions (QTFs) for wave drift loads on vessels and floating structures. The new model can handle complex contact scenarios, such as self-contact, multiple contact points, sliding contact, and contact with rigid bodies. New Line Contact model: OrcaFlex 9.6 introduces a new model for line contact that is more accurate and robust than the previous model. The 64 bit version also runs slightly faster than the 32 bit version. The 64 bit version can access more memory than the 32 bit version, which is beneficial for machines with a lot of processors and large models. 64 bit OrcaFlex: OrcaFlex 9.6 is available in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
